NZA Hosts Webinar on Zoning in NE Oklahoma (Replay Available)

National Zoning Atlas today presented to a group of planners, architects, and housing advocates on their next installment in their virtual Metro Area Snapshot series, spotlighting Tulsa, Oklahoma.

NZA founder Sarah C. Bronin and analysts provided an overview of how NZA zoning data is collected and analyzed, demonstrate how to navigate their interactive tools, and highlight top-level findings about how Tulsa uses zoning code.

The session concluded with a discussion on how these insights can help advocates and policymakers identify the zoning factors that contribute to Northeast Oklahoma’s housing shortage.

If you missed the session, you can catch a replay below.

Housing Forward sponsored expediting Northeastern Oklahoma’s addition to the National Zoning Atlas. As a result of this work, some of the jurisdictions included digitized their zoning data for the first time ever. Visualizing these codes all together creates a great starting point to identify policy needs across the NE Oklahoma Region.
